What is incredible to me about music is that it gives space for connections to flourish. One of my mentors once said that if everyone was forced to be in a choir, the world would work together forever. Music is the universal language, it allows us to connect to deep levels of our brain and self that we sometimes forget exists. I am a music educator because music allows youth to be themselves in the rawest way.
